Fitzwater hired by Small Business Administration | News, Sports, Jobs

CLARKSBURG — The U.S. Small Business Administration has welcomed Raychel Fitzwater, a Belington native, to their West Virginia District Office team.

Fitzwater was recently hired as an Outreach and Marketing Specialist. Prior to this position, Fitzwater served at the SBA as a temporary CARES Act Program Support Assistant where she focused on SBA’s CARES relief funding programs and provided guidance to small businesses.

In her new role, Fitzwater is responsible for creating and fostering relationships with economic development organizations around the state to help promote SBA’s programs and services.

She will represent the SBA at outreach events such as trade shows, business expos, round tables, and more, to provide information to the public about SBA. She will conduct training activities on SBA’s programs and services to educate both the public and our partner organizations on what is available to assist the small business community.

Fitzwater is a West Virginia native and recently obtained her master’s degree in Business Administration from Fairmont State University. In her free time, she is involved with local philanthropy, spends time with family, and enjoys traveling.

“I look forward to my time in the SBA helping serve small businesses of the Mountain State and giving back to the state I was born and raised in,” Fitzwater said.
